In February 2021, my life changed in seconds. A sprinter van hit me head-on. I was lucky to survive, but the road ahead was rough—broken ribs, a shattered foot, and later, something I couldn’t see: damage to part of my brain that effects cognitive function, memory, personality shifts, difficulty with planning and organization, impulsivity.

 

At first, it was the physical pain. But as my body healed, my mind started breaking down. Depression, PTSD, anxiety. I heard voices, saw things that weren’t there. My speech slowed. I forgot how to spell my own name. I didn’t feel like myself anymore. I didn’t feel like anyone at all.

 

What pulled me back was love. My fiancé, my family, and the support I found through Mind and their counselling services—they helped me rediscover my voice. Slowly, I found purpose in the chaos. I’d always wanted to give back, but never knew how. Now I do.

 

Persuasion Attire was born not just from survival, but from transformation. I might not know where the name came from, but maybe it came from the part of me that refused to give up—the part that believes there’s always a silver lining. That behind every storm is light. That one honest conversation can lift the heaviest weight.
